Our theoretical and experimental engineering know-how cultivated over many years of propeller design and research can be utilized for evaluating propeller performance and improving propeller design. Through our rich experience and expertise, CFD technology, and tank tests, we provide engineering for propeller design and performance evaluation.
Propeller Design
Utilizing the large tank, we have accumulated a database of theoretical and experimental technologies related to ship hydrodynamics and know-how related to propeller design using CFD technology. Employing this know-how, we are constructing a "low vibratory force high-efficiency propeller design system."
Utilizing this system enables us to provide design engineering, such as marine propeller efficiency, cavitation performance, and propeller vibrating force, in a short period and at a low cost, and propeller design support that ultimately confirms performance in tank tests.
We are developing a propeller design system using Design and Analysis Kit for Optimization Terascale Application (DAKOTA) to create propeller shapes that comply with environmental regulations. Using this system helps design a Wake Adapted Propeller (WAP) more suitable for the wake distribution created by the hull and energy-saving devices than conventional designs.
The figure on the right shows an image of when the shape is being examined.
